I hate posting bad review but, oh, the need for proofing and editing was so very obvious...and it gets aggravating really quick. The story was interesting until we go through and find that he is, seemingly, constantly deceitful toward her. And I do mean constantly. That ruined it for me.
I beg the author to have someone proof and edit her writing. The lack of punctuation, missing words in sentences, incorrect words being used (i.e. wondered instead of wandered), run-on sentences, etc., became too much for me to even enjoy the book.

Just ok

Although I was intrigued with the premise, this book just didn't do it for me.
The book is written both in the past and the present and at times it proved to be just a bit too much. One chapter past, then the next future. It made me dizzy.
Although I enjoy a second chance romance, this one fell flat. The heroine and hero just couldn't get their act together and it just became so repetitive.
Although for the most part it was well written, there were some glaring typos that need to be fixed.
Oh well, can't love them all.

Lovely Distraction by JJ Dorn

When I read the blurb to Lovely Distraction, I was intrigued and truly looked forward to reading the book! Unfortunately, the book fell quite a bit short of expectations. I think that while the premise of the book was promising, the characters weren't really likeable and I found it difficult to connect with them. I also felt like the author just kept throwing more and more drama into the book to fill pages and it was really just too much. The story is written in both past and present tense and I don't think there was enough distinction (for me at least) between the two to eliminate confusion. Further to that, the lack of editing was a huge problem that I just couldn't ignore. Overall, I think this had the potential to be a great story, but unfortunately left me flat.
